During the welding process, the sudden extinguishing of the welding gun is a problem that needs to be dealt with in a timely manner. Here are some possible solutions and precautions:
1、 Check the gas source and gas supply
Check the pressure of the gas cylinder: Ensure that the gas pressure in the cylinder is sufficient, as low liquefied gas pressure may cause the welding gun to stall. If the pressure is insufficient, it needs to be replaced or inflated in a timely manner.
Check the gas pipeline: Check if there is any leakage or blockage in the gas pipeline. Leakage can lead to insufficient gas supply, while blockage may prevent gas from reaching the welding gun smoothly.
Check the gas regulating valve: Ensure that the gas regulating valve is set correctly and can work properly. If the regulating valve is damaged or improperly set, it may also cause the welding gun to stall.
2、 Check the welding gun and nozzle
Cleaning nozzle: nozzle blockage is one of the common reasons for welding gun stalling. Use specialized tools (such as needles) to clean the welding slag and impurities on the nozzle, ensuring that the gas can be smoothly sprayed out.
Check the sealing between the cutting nozzle and the cutting gun: If there is no sealing between the cutting nozzle and the cutting gun, it can also cause gas leakage and the welding gun to stall. Tighten the cutting nozzle with a wrench to ensure good sealing.
Check the welding gun cable and switch: Ensure that the welding gun cable is not damaged and the switch is functioning properly. If the cable breaks or the switch is damaged, it may also cause the welding gun to stall.
3、 Adjust welding parameters
Adjust current and voltage: Adjust the current and voltage of the welding machine appropriately according to the requirements of the welding material and process. Improper current and voltage settings may also cause the welding gun to stall.
Adjust gas flow rate: Adjust the flow rate of oxygen and acetylene (or other combustible gases) according to welding needs. Excessive or insufficient flow may cause the welding gun to stall.
